Lil' Romeo Putting His Music Career on Hold to Play College Basketball

Lil' Romeo has put his music and film career on hold after signing for his university basketball team.

AceShowbiz - While for many others music is everything, not for Lil' Romeo. The rapper, son of rap mogul Master P, has reportedly put the brake on his singing and acting career for several years and commit to playing basketball for the University of Southern California.

The 17-year-old, who is studying a degree in business administration at the University of Southern California, signed for the Trojans Friday April 13th and plans to play for the squad after he graduates next year.

"It's great for him," Master P told FoxSports.com. "USC is a great school and I felt like he made a great decision." Miller, in the meantime, is claimed to be the first hip-hop star to receive a full athletic scholarship.

Romeo has so far released three studio albums and two compilation album. His latest LP, "God's Gift," was released on December 12, 2006.
