AceShowbiz - She feels so lucky to be the mother of twin daughters after years waiting to be a mom. Now that her dream comes true, Marcia Cross shares her motherhood experience to People magazine in its April 23 issue, on newsstands Friday April 13th.
Debuted her baby daughters, Eden and Savannah, on the magazine's cover, the "Desperate Housewife" said "I wanted to be a member of that club so badly, and now I'm in and it's so much better than I even imagined." She went on adding, "Even before I was 30 I started thinking about (motherhood). The years started going by and I was anxious about the clock ticking. Now it seems like it was all meant to be."
Cross, married hubby Tom Mahoney June last year, gave birth to daughters in February, one month before her March 21 due date, hours after being diagnosed with "preeclampsia," which is a disorder characterized by high blood pressure that threatens both mother and baby.
Recalling the moment, Mahoney revealed, "Savannah was born first and then Eden followed within the same minute. Then we had a symphony of crying and it was fantastic." Pick up the new issue of People for more exclusive photos and more from Marcia on motherhood.
