Zack Snyder Mobilizes
Movie

Zack Snyder will develop a zombie action-thriller entitled "Army of the Dead" at his recently established company Cruel & Unusual Films.

AceShowbiz - Zack Snyder sure is making a quick move for his Warner Bros.-based newly launched company Cruel & Unusual Films. Recently being reported to put in "Sucker Punch" as the studio's first production, the "300" director has smoothly submitted a second project into the list.

Variety has revealed that Snyder is set to produce a zombie action-thriller titled "Army of the Dead" which is based on his own original story. While it is still unclear whether he will also direct, wife Deborah Snyder is going to also produce with their partner Wesley Coller executive producing.

Scripted by Joby Harold, the flick is set in the not-too-distant future in a quarantined Las Vegas and centers on a father who tries to save his daughter from imminent death in a zombie-infested world. Snyder was noted of wanting "Army" to have a sweeping, epic quality, along the lines of the highly stylized "300."

"I feel like there hasn't been a zombie movie on the scale that we want to do it," so he remarked.
