A Lighter Mood for Nick Lachey's Next Album

Putting emotion in every record, Nick Lachey said now that his life is getting better, the new album will also say so.

AceShowbiz - Nick Lachey is compiling ideas for third album. Always striving for the best, Nick hopes that the next album following "What's Left of Me" will be much lighter. He told MTV News that ballad would still be his thing because he knows what he's known for.

Nick claims that he puts emotions in every step of making a record. The previous album "What's Left of Me" was the one he made during a low point of his life following the divorce with Jessica Simpson. Anticipating that the dark clouds have gone, he promises more colors available in the upcoming not yet titled album.

Garnering renowned producer duo, Underdogs, in this project, Nick is confident on the outcome. "Their track record speaks for itself," he said. "We've known each other for a long time now and it's kind of one of those things where one of these days we're gonna work together and I'm glad it finally happened on this record."

On the other side, Harvey Mason Jr., one of the Underdogs is also in favor of the partnership. He said, "His voice is really strong and we hope to try and give him a chorus that can support that, a message-type of song with good lyrics, some emotion behind it, 'cause he can really pull off those type of records."

Nick is also involved in the writing process. He makes some necessary changes in one song titled "She's Gone" that is written by Underdogs. He mentions the need to challenge himself to a higher level as a musician. It is probably why he is weighing on the music career rather than the movie vocation that he pursues recently.
