Daniel Craig and Julianne Moore are both in talks to star in Fernando Meirelles' "Blindness."

AceShowbiz - Aiming to have first-class talents to topline the project, filmmakers of "Blindness" reportedly are holding negotiations with both Daniel Craig and Julianne Moore to entrust the task to the pair.
An adaptation of Portuguese Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago's 1995 novel of the same title, the picture focuses on an epidemic of blindness that spreads across an unnamed contemporary city, pushing the residents to the brink of breakdown. Brazilian filmmaker Fernando Meirelles has been tapped to direct for Focus Features International.
Filming is scheduled to begin in summer around Meirelles' hometown, Sao Paolo, and Toronto, Canada with Don McKellar penning the script as well as starring in. Set to produce are Niv Fichman, Simon Channing-Williams, and Gail Egan with Marcelo Cotrim serving as location producer.
