20th Annual Kids' Choice Awards Reveals Its Music Nominees!

In its 20th round, Nick has chosen several names who will stand the chance to be the kids' favorite in music category.


The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards is back for its 20th round. A cluster of music nominees has been announced in four separate categories.

Lining up to win Favorite Song are Daniel Powter's "Bad Day", Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy", Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" featuring Wyclef Jean and also Beyonce Knowles' "Irreplaceable".

The Favorite Male Singer category is spread equally as each artist nominated represents various genre. There is singer and dancer Chris Brown for instance who majors in R&B. Pop wonder Jesse McCartney and Reggae singer Sean Paul are also named under this category. Last in the list is Justin Timberlake who at the same time will serve as the host of the event. Meanwhile, in the Favorite Female Singer group of nominees, there are Christina Aguilera, Ciara, Jessica Simpson and also Beyonce Knowles.

The last category for music is Favorite Music Group. Four bands stand equal chance to compete as the winner. They are Black Eyed Peas, Fall Out Boy, Nickelback and surprisingly, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The kids will be able to vote their favorite from the four categories via cell phones or nick.com. starting from March 5. Each week new categories will be announced and a 'special' award will be revealed in the actual event.
