Christie Brinkley, a former supermodel, was recuperating Wednesday Feb 28th at a Manhattan hospital from emergency back surgery as a result of sky injury.
"Last evening (Tuesday) Christie Brinkley underwent emergency back surgery," said publicist Marcia Horowitz. Brinkley hurt her back during a family ski trip December last year in Aspen, Colo. "and (it) worsened in the past few days," Horowitz added.
Brinkley is expected to be released from the undisclosed hospital on Friday March 2nd.
Brinkley has been married four times. Her first three marriages were to artist Jean-Francois Allaux, musician Billy Joel, and developer Richard Taubman. Her fourth husband is Peter Cook, an architect, whom she married in 1996. Se has three children.
