Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood are among the leading nominees at Country Music Television's 2007 CMT Music Awards.

AceShowbiz - The final nominees for this year's CMT Music Awards have been announced Wednesday Feb 28th. Among them there are Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, and Carrie Underwood who are the leading nominees, with three nominations each.

As of Rascal Flatts, the American Country band vies for the categories of Video of the Year for "What Hurts the Most" and Group Video of the Year for "Life Is a Highway" and "What Hurts the Most". Chesney, in the meantime, is nominated for Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year, and Video Director of the Year all for "You Save Me".

Underwood earns the nominations for Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year, and Video Director of the Year all of which for "Before He Cheats". In addition to them all, country trio Dixie Chicks also is among the nominees, receives two nods for Video of the Year and Group Video of the Year both for "Not Ready to Make Nice".

Some other CMT nominees include Toby Keith, Sugarland, The Wreckers, and Jason Aldean among others. Read the entire list of the award nominees at www.cmt.com.

The awards show, which will originate from the Curb Event Center at Belmont University in Nashville, will air on CMT on April 16 with comedian Jeff Foxworthy tapped to host. Among the scheduled performers are Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, and Dierks Bentley.
