Nicolas Cage is teaming up with Todd Garner to develop a fantasy flick titled "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" for Walt Disney Pictures.
Wonder to know what it'll look like if Disney's animated classic "Fantasia" is turned into a live-action flick? Soon we will see it for sure as Nicolas Cage is set to bring up "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" for the company.
Variety has reported that the Oscar-winning actor has given agreement to produce the project via his Saturn Films with partner Norm Golightly. Also on board to take the same duty is Todd Garner who will carry out the task through his Broken Road Productions.
Could also be a starring vehicle for Cage, the picture draws inspiration from the poem by Goethe in which a not-fully-trained apprentice of an old sorcerer creates a great mess with his magic at his mentor's workshop during the man's leave. No word yet on the cast lineup, but it has been revealed that Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal will both pen the script.
