Actress/singer Scout Taylor-Compton has been selected to portray Laurie Strode in Rob Zombie's "Halloween."
The lead actress is at last found for Rob Zombie's "Halloween." The director has reportedly picked up actress/singer Scout Taylor-Compton to play Laurie Strode, the main character in the franchise originally played by Jamie Lee Curtis.
The beauty thus becomes the latest addition in the movie's cast lineup which has already included a long list of names like Daeg Faerch, Tyler Mane, William Forsythe, Danielle Harris, Daryl Sabara, and Brad Dourif to name few. Shooting is currently underway in Los Angeles with an eye for an August 31 release.
Taylor-Compton, a native of California, began acting in her early teen and has appeared in a number of TV series such as "Gilmore Girls", "Cold Case", "Charmed", and "Without a Trace." She became a headline in August 2005 when was reported missing after a family dispute whereas she in fact stayed at a friend's house for two weeks, later being declared by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's office "a runaway who did not want to be found."
