Still eager to put one more acting stint in his already-diverse repertoire, Harvey Keitel is reported to be engaged in final negotiations for a starring role in "The Ministers", the crime thriller project coming from Universal Pictures.
If things go well, the "National Treasure" star will be billed in the film as a good cop who has an unfortunate incident that changes the course of his life. The flick itself revolves around a female NYPD detective who investigates a mysterious group known as the Ministers, along the way unknowingly getting romantically involved with a member of the group.
Cast lineup has already consisted of John Leguizamo, Manny Perez, and newcomer Florencia Lozano as the detective. "Empire" helmer Franc. Reyes is in charge to direct also write the screenplay with Jill Footlick serving as producer.
