Charlize Theron's starring vehicle "Ferris Wheel" will be distributed domestically by Overture Films.
Prepare for something bright coming from Chris McGurk's Overture Films. Yes, the studio has just obtained the U.S. rights to "Ferris Wheel", the ensemble drama feature which is a production of Denver and Delilah Productions owned by Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron who also stars in the picture.
A feature directorial debut of digital F/X whiz Bill Maher, the flick concerns a girl named Tara who establishes a bond with her uncle after getting abandoned by her own mother. Accompanying Theron in the cast are AnnaSophia Robb, Nick Stahl, Dennis Hopper, and Woody Harrelson, among others.
Screenplay was entrusted into the hands of "The Chumscrubber" scribe Zac Stanford to work on with J.J. Harris, Beth Kono, A.J. Dix, Bill Shively, and Mike Stirling seating as producers. Juan Ruiz Anchia handled the cinematography while Paki Smith and Cathy McComb were in charge for production and costume design, respectively.
