Jessica Alba has finally been picked up as the leadstar in Lionsgate's horror thriller "The Eye."
The deals have been made, finally. After engaging in talks for months, Jessica Alba ultimately is positive to topline horror thriller "The Eye" for Cruise/Wagner Productions and Lionsgate.
Therefore officially replacing Renee Zellweger in the project, the beauty reportedly signed a $4 million deal to play the leading role of Allison, a woman who is able to see into the supernatural world after undergoing an eye transplant surgery. The flick itself is actually a remake of the Hong Kong film of the same title released in 2002.
Filming is scheduled to start next month in Albuquerque, New Mexico with David Moreau and Xavier Palud at helm. Sebastian Gutierrez, Ryne Douglas Pearson, also Hillary Seitz have all been tapped to work on the screenplay while Tom Cruise will seat as producer alongside Paula Wagner.
