Pierce Brosnan is about to both star in and produce a movie about gambling world titled "The Big Biazzaro."
Smoothly working out his way on the big screen after his departure from 007 series, Pierce Brosnan is joining forces with Maloof Motion Pictures to develop a big screen feature entitled "The Big Biazarro" in which he will also stars, Variety has learned.
Based on Leonard Wise's novel of the same name, the project is set in the high-stakes world of international gambling and will see Brosnan portray a veteran card player mentoring a headstrong yet talented protege. Production schedule on the picture has not yet been revealed though.
Meanwhile, "Waist Deep" helmer Vondie Curtis-Hall has been picked up to both write and direct with Brosnan and his Irish DreamTime partner Beau St. Clair producing alongside Phil Maloof and Andrew Jameson of Maloof Motion Pictures, which will finance the flick's development.
