"The Longest Yard" director Peter Segal will direct a comedy feature titled "I, Thalus" for Universal Pictures.
Extending his involvement in comedic genre, Peter Segal has given his agreement to helm another flick of that sort entitled "I, Thalus", which is currently under development at Universal Pictures.
Plot details of the project are still being kept under warps, but it is revealed that it will be set against the first ancient Olympics. Meanwhile, script is penned by brothers Craig and Jeff Cox with Scott Stuber, Mary Parent, and Michael Ewing all seating as producers.
Segal, a 1994 graduate of USC School of Cinema-Television, is known to frequently present characters who took their fame and power for granted and try to redeem themselves in his film. He is currently attached to direct "Get Smart" with Steve Carell toplining.
