Horror master Clive Barker is developing a horror thriller centered on the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe.
Ready to bring creepiness to horror fans, horror master Clive Barker has teamed up with Walden Media to develop an original young adult thriller focused on the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
For this project, Barker is said to do double job of penning the script and producing with Anthony DiBlasi and Joseph Daley executive producing. Names of director and cast have not yet been revealed though.
As for the premise, the flick will follow a group of teenagers as they inadvertently trigger a curse that unlocks Poe's nightmares when trying to unearth what happened during the last two weeks of his life.
"I think we might have a chance with this project to bring the character of Poe alive for a new audience and weave his shadowy existence into the dark enchantments of his stories so that for our protagonist, and for our audience, it will be difficult to be sure where one finishes and the other takes flight," so Barker commented.
