It's official, Nick Lachey is part owner of the Tacoma Rainiers, a farm club for the Seattle Mariners. It is said that the divorce will own one-third of the baseball franchise.
The pop singer says he plans to play an active role in the ownership, while moreover also is offered to be the team's designated hitter.
On his new task, Nick commented, "It had always been a dream of mine to be involved in team sports in general, especially on a local level in your hometown."
The Rainiers are the Seattle Mariners' Class AAA club in the Pacific Coast League. As part of the sale, the new owners signed a two-year lease and affiliation agreement. The new owners say Lachey will be involved in developing entertainment for families, including concerts and autograph sessions.
