Snatching one more film project under its wings, Lionsgate Films is about to develop a comedy feature titled "The Escape Artist" of which script it obtained from producer Todd Garner, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
Originally hatched by brothers Jim and Brian Kehoe, the project revolves around a relationship consultant who gets paid to break people up. Garner, who has helped the writers in elaborating the script, will produce via his Broken Road Productions.
A Canadian production-distributor company, Lionsgate is a subsidiary of Lions Gate Entertainment which has become the largest and most successful independent film distributor-studio in North America. Its recent big screen productions include "The Devil's Rejects", "Madea's Family Reunion", "See No Evil", and "Crank."
