Bill Cosby can, starting from this point on, laugh again. The comedian has settled a civil suit on Wednesday Nov 8th brought by a Canadian woman named Andrea Constand who claimed he drugged and sexually assaulted her in early 2004 at his home outside Philadelphia.
The terms of the settlement remain confidential. Yet, the plaintiff's lawyer Dolores Troiani, announced in a statement that her client and Cosby have "resolved their differences; therefore, the litigation has been dismissed pursuant to local court rule."
Cosby's publicist David Brokaw, meanwhile, told the Associated Press that a settlement has been reached, but there would be no further public comment from his client.
