Sarah McLachlan to Celebrate Christmas with "Wintersong"

Christmas has yet come, but has prepared all to celebrate the big day. The singer has planned to release a new album, titled "", slated for October 17th release date.

The set, consists of 12-track CD, marks McLachlan's first new studio recording in three years. The collection features among other on piano for the 1965 Charlie Brown song "Christmas Time Is Here", and the ' Jim Creegan on double bass.

More on the album, recorded at McLachlan's home studio in Vancouver, it also covers the singer's take on 's 1971 peace song "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" and 's 1971 song "River". The songbird, in addition to all, sings Gordon Lightfoot's 1975 "Song For A Winter's Night", and includes seasonal favorites "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas".

As of the title track "Wintersong", it is a new piece written by McLachlan herself.
