Archetype to Deliver "The Mad" and "Bottom Feeder"

Peace Arch Entertainment through its Archetype Films division will produce two new films entitled "The Mad" and "Bottom Feeder."

In efforts to fulfill its ambition to deliver at leas a dozen films annually for worldwide distribution, Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. has announced its intention to develop two new films entitled "The Mad" and "Bottom Feeder" through its Archetype Films division, making a total of 11 announced projects from the company to date.

Taking a horror-thriller genre, "The Mad" centers on a doctor and his teenage daughter who are terrorized by flesh eating zombies at a truck stop. Billy Zane has been billed to star with John Kalangis at helm. Kevin Hennelly will write the scripts while Jonathan Dueck is set to produce.

Meanwhile, "Bottom Feeder", which features Tom Sizemore in the cast list, tells about a terror experienced by a maintenance worker and his niece after the military where he works at mistakenly creates a giant, indestructible rat. Penned also directed by Randy Daudlin, pic has recently started the filming process in Canada.

Formed last year, Archetype Films is a division of Peach Arch specializing in either producing or distributing action, horror, thriller and science fiction films. Its recent projects include "Troubled Waters" starring Jennifer Beals, "The Last Sect" starring David Carradine, also "Warriors of Terra" starring Edward Furlong.
