Marking a good collaboration between them, Universal and Gary Ross' production company of Larger Than Life have acquired "Sightings" from Dean DeBlois, director also writer of "Lilo & Stitch." Variety reported that Ross will produce while DeBlois will executive produce.
Set to be a live-action feature, the project's story centers on a group of kids who unveil something that has never been seen by man before as they explore coves and inlets in the Florida Keys.
Larger Than Life, which is based at Universal, is also attached to make "Creature From the Black Lagoon" and "The Tale of Despereaux" for the studio.
