Bryan Bertino hired to make his directorial debut on "Strangers".

Rogue Pictures hires screenwriter Bryan Bertino to work on "Strangers". Thus the mystery flick will become Bertino's directorial debut.

In the meantime, Mandate Pictures' Nathan Kahane and Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee and Doug Davison are all teaming up to produce.

Details on the film's start date have yet been revealed, while the casting is still in process.

As of the screenplay, it centers on three mysterious strangers who terrorize a young couple in a remote house after they return from a wedding.
