Beyonce has chosen 10 lucky ladies to form the all-girl backup band for an upcoming solo tour.
Subsequent to audition after audition across America, Beyonce Knowles finally finishes putting together her all-female band. The Grammy winning singer has picked the 10 lucky ladies along with two almost-as-lucky alternates, to form the all-girl backup band for an upcoming solo tour in support of her second solo album, "B'Day."
Following a series of auditions in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago and Atlanta, with more than 1,000 wannabes auditioned, Beyonce and her creative team finally made final decision on Sunday.
The identities of the newly formed band have not been revealed, but the cities in which they were discovered have. Apart, it has been reported that the touring group includes two drummers and a percussionist. The touring band, moreover, will serve as musicians only, not background singers or dancers.
"B'Day" is set for release on September 4th, coincide with Beyonce's 25th birthday. She's next set to perform her first single off the new album, "Déjà Vu," at the BET Awards June 27.
