Universal's new screenplay project, "Charlie Wilson's War", and Capitol Films up-coming's "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" are not impossible missions for the last-seen-in- "Mission: Impossible 3" star, Philip Seymour Hoffman.
After having himself involved in an indie movie project "The Savages", Hoffman is ready to join Uma Thurman's former hubby, Ethan Hawke in the story of siblings trying to rob their own parents' jewelry store, "Before the Devils". The movie is going to take place in New York, together with other Hollywood stars, Albert Finney and "Loverboy" actress, Marisa Tomei. The producer is Michael Cerenzie, while Lumet, Kelly Masterson and Austin Chick will bear the credits as the scriptwriters.
The following George Crile's-novel-based movie, starts on October 10, "Charlie Wilson's War", will have Seymour collaborate with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. He plays as a CIA agent who discovered a way to assist rebels through arm force to fight against the Soviet army in Afghanistan back in the 1980s. Mike Nichols directs this movie, while Hanks and Gary Goetzman bear the producer-credit, and Aaron Sorkin as the screenplay writer.
