This year's Tony Awards sure will be a shining star-studded affair for the organizers for the event have revealed their plan to feature 60 celebrity hosts to represent each year of the theatre world's prize-giving ceremony as it celebrates its 60th anniversary.
Among the hosts, there certainly are notably names like Oprah Winfrey, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, Cynthia Nixon, Martin Short, plus Mark Ruffalo.
"The 60th anniversary show is bigger than just one host," so said the telecast's executive producers, Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, as quoted from their joint statement. "So we've put together a line up of 60 stars from the stage to lead our celebration." The event itself is scheduled to be aired on CBS by June 11 live from Radio City Music Hall, so make it sure not to miss this sparkling show then.
