Hollywood greatly talented actress Naomi Watts has signed on to star in the upcoming drama thriller "Eastern Promises". There in the flick she will star alongside Viggo Mortensen.
David Cronenberg is about to direct, whereas Steve Knight wrote the script. Shooting on it is slated to begin November later this year in London.
As of the story, "Eastern Promises" follows the story of a 14-year-old girl dies on Christmas while giving birth in a London hospital. Watts plays a midwife whose search for the girl's family takes her to London's shady Russian crime community and to a Russian crime boss (Mortensen) who is not what he seems.
