Shaquille O'Neal and his wife, Shaunie Nelson, welcomed a new daughter, Me'arah Sanaa O'Neal, on Monday May 1st, 2006

On the same day fellow basketball player Kobe Bryant welcomed his second child, Shaquille O'Neal also gladly celebrated a new addition to his family. It also is a daughter for him and wife Shaunie Nelson.

The baby girl, born Monday May 1st, 2006 at 4:57 a.m. in Miami, weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz., and was 21 1/2 inches long. And "Shaq is thrilled," a source said.
