Young Jeezy arrested after an alleged shootout in South Beach early Saturday morning, March 11th, 2006
Famous rapper Young Jeezy was arrested early Saturday morning March 11th, 2006 after an alleged shootout in South Beach involving some of his friends. The incident began when on Friday at around 5:30 a.m. Jeezy with a group of men involved in a fight in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue.
In between the happening, a passer-by filming the fight and refused to hand over his video camera. Thus, one of the men in the group began shooting, before shortly thereafter Jeezy and the nine other men left the scene in two sport utility vehicles.
Police spokesman Robert Hernandez said that when officers stopped both vehicles, there were a semiautomatic firearm found under Jeezy's seat and another gun near the armrest when they searched his SUV. Due to such fact, the notable musician was then charged with two counts of carrying a concealed firearm without a permit.
Meanwhile, two members of Jenkins' group also were arrested. They were Tramiel De Juan Golden who was charged with strong armed robbery, and Steven Lesly Savain who was taken into custody on trespassing charges stemming from previous warrant for his arrest.
