In his divorce response to Jess' Dec. 16 divorce filing, Nick as requested spousal support from his soon-to-be ex-wife, PEOPLE has learned
Nick Lachey is seeking spousal support from Jessica Simpson. That's according to People magazine. Report mentioned that Nick has on Friday Feb 17th, 2006 filed papers in Los Angeles, seeking spousal support from his soon-to-be ex-wife.
In the paper filed as a response to Simpson's divorce request Lachey cited irreconcilable differences for the dissolution of the marriage. Adding the financial provisions, the former 98 Degrees singer also is requesting "miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects, his earnings and accumulations from and after the date of separation and additional property assets" to be determined.
What's interesting is that in his papers, Lachey indicates they separated on Dec. 13, while her papers list the date as Nov. 23. The date does matter because the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement, so all income before the breakup is considered communal property to be divided equally.
