Comedian Bernie Mac is in final talks to join Terrence Howard in "P.D.R" for Lionsgate

AceShowbiz - The Hollywood Reporter comes to the surface with report mentions that comedian Bernie Mac is in final talks to join Terrence Howard in "P.D.R." or Philadelphia Department of Recreation.

Of drama genre, the film tells the real-life story of Jim Ellis, who in the 1970s started a black swim team in one of the city's roughest neighborhoods. Ellis recruited troubled teens, many who had never swum before, and managed to lead them to the state championships.

Playing the lead role is Howard, while Mac is set to play the janitor who, with Howard, fights the closing of a rec center and helps turn it into a vital community center. Sunu Gonera is in hand directing from a script written by Michael Gozzard and Kevin M. Smith. Shooting is slated to start in late April on the East Coast.
