Rock Gods U2 Won Five Grammy Awards



U2 took home five trophies at the 48th annual Grammys, including that of album of the year for "How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb"

Irish rock band U2 was among big winners at the 48th annual Grammy Awards, held Wednesday Feb 8th, 2006. The band satisfyingly took home 5 trophies, beating out one of the best-selling artists of all time Mariah Carey who only brought home three awards.

U2 among others won the categories of Best Rock Album and Album of the Year for "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb", Best Rock Song for "City of Blinding Lights", Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Song of the Year both for "Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own".
