The Water Horse on the Way

Water Horse: Legend of the Deep, The picture

Walden Media, Beacon Pictures and Revolution Studios are teaming to produce a "Narnia"-scale film based on children's fantasy novel "The Water Horse"

One more "Narnia"-scale film will be produced. Hopefully it will repeat the success of the previous adventure fantasy film.

Walden Media, Beacon Pictures and Revolution Studios are all teaming up to work on the highly anticipated "The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep." Based on children's fantasy novel of the same name by British author Dick King-Smith, the film tells the story of a lonely boy in Scotland who finds a mysterious egg from which hatches a "water horse" -- a mythical sea monster of Scottish legend.

Will write the live-action/CGI movie is Robert Nelson Jacobs, while Jay Russell will direct. In hand producing are Robert Bernstein, Douglas Rae, Barrie Osborne and Charlie Lyons with production is expected to begin in May in New Zealand.
