Hilary Swank & her husband Chad Lowe released a statement through Swank's manager announcing their decision to separate after eight years of marriage

Two-time Oscar winning actress Hilary Swank and husband Chad Lowe go separate ways. The couple who has been together for eight years decided to end their marriage, released a statement through Swank's manager announcing "Hilary and Chad have decided to separate, but they are hopeful they'll be able to get through this tough time."

Swank and Lowe tied the knot in 1997, after meeting at a Hollywood party in 1992. That was the first marriage for both, who as yet have any children. There was no elaboration on the reason for the split.
