Movie star Jeff Daniels has inked a deal to star in the thriller "The Lookout" opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film revolves around a mentally impaired former athlete (Gordon-Levitt) who works as a janitor at a bank and gets sucked into a heist.
As of Daniels, he is set to play Lewis Canfield, a blind ex-biker who becomes an unwilling participant in the heist. In the meantime, the film will mark the feature-directing debut of its screenwriter Scott Frank.
Shooting is slated to begin in the spring in Canada with Disney about to distribute the Spyglass Entertainment project in North America.
