Foxy Brown's assault trial was postponed until Dec. 23 Monday, after it was revealed in court that the rapper is almost completely deaf
These days are getting worse for rapper Foxy Brown as amidst her struggle to fight prosecutors over their demand she plead guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge she almost completely deaf. "She's pretty much totally deaf now," lawyer Joseph Tacopina said. "She can't hear me. We have to write things back and forth. Anything I have to communicate with her now has to be written. It's dialogue, communication."
Brown actually has revealed her hearing problems back in September, the extent and severity of the loss was previously unknown. The musician, who subsequently had surgery for the ailment, also refused to disclose the potential cause of the hearing loss.
As a result, Brown's assault trial was postponed until Dec. 23 Monday. Detailing on his client's condition Tacopina said that Brown would undergo a second surgery to try to regain some of her hearing before her next court appearance later this month, despite the fact that the chances of a full recovery are unclear. He says "Hopefully [the condition] is reversible. She has to undergo another surgery."
