Springfield is back as Dr. Noah Drake on "General Hospital," a role he first played in the early 1980s

Rocker Rick Springfield is heading back to "General Hospital" 22 years after he took a break from the role of Dr. Noah Drake he portrayed on the ABC daytime. It is maybe a little strange for him to do so, yet he meant it.

He says "I don't know if there has ever been a character that reoccurred after 23 years. I thought about it, and it seemed like it was too good an opportunity to miss." As of his character, Dr. Drake, is scheduled to return to the "General Hospital" set next week.
