10 Animated Films Fight for Oscar Nod

Ten films will be considered for Oscar nominations in the animated-feature category, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Thursda


Film awards season is near and everyone is waiting for the big event, Oscar. In the announcement released Thursday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences listed the 10 films which will be considered for Oscar nominations in the Animated-Feature category.

Included in the list among others are "Chicken Little," "Gulliver's Travel," "Hoodwinked," "Howl's Moving Castle," "Madagascar," "Robots," "Steamboy," "Corpse Bride," "Valiant," and "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit."

Though, nominees in the animated film category and 24 other categories will be announced Jan. 31. Meanwhile, the 78th Academy Awards will be presented at the Kodak Theatre on March 5.
