Gibson Donates $1 Million for Hurricane Victims



Mel Gibson has pledged $1m (566,000) to help Mexico's hurricane relief in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Stan, the Mexican government has announced

Movie star, director and producer Mel Gibson has a very deep concern for the society. The highly celebrated is donating US$1 million to the victims of Hurricane Stan through the Rotary Club of Mexico.

The hurricane destroyed Central America and Mexico from October 1, and triggered floods and landslides. More than 2125 deaths were reported in Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico and Nicaragua.

The Mexican Government announced the donation Gibson has made after a meeting between the actor and Mexico President Vicente Fox.
