If the deal has been achieved, the actress will undoubtedly star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the dramatic thriller "The Blood Diamond." Edward Zwick will direct for the Warner Bros. film.
The story centers on a poor African farmer who gets caught up in a conflict between an American diamond smuggler (DiCaprio) and the syndicate that controls the local diamond mining industry. Shooting is set to begin early next year and will probably take place in Africa.
