Musicians Fall Into the Gap

Alanis Morissette and celeb pals are set to appear in advertisements for The Gap, a San Francisco-based retailer beginning late next month.


Beginning late next month, singer Alanis Morissette will appear in advertisements for the Gap, a San Francisco-based clothing company. Rather than being alone, Morissette will do the ads with some of her musician friends, including Jason Mraz, Joss Stone, John Legend, Liz Phair, Keith Urban, Michelle Williams (II) of Destiny's Child and Incubus' Brandon Boyd.

All of them will do the television spots and print ads, which all focus on both favorite jeans and music of the various artists. As for Morissette, she is partial to "Crazy" by Seal, and her favorite pair of jeans is Gap's new Curvy Flair. Mraz's favorite tune, on the other hand, is Bob Marley's "One Love," and he prefers Straight Fit jeans.
