The first U.S. edition of the U.K.'s Download Festival, set for October 8 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, Calif, will be headlined by The Killers. As for the Download date for the band, it is expected to bring to an end over a year-and-a-half of touring in support of their Island's debut, "Hot Fuss," which has sold 2.2 million copies in the U.S. Also slated to perform, among others Modest Mouse, the Arcade Fire, Doves, H.I.M. and Mindless Self Indulgence. Tickets will go on sale Sunday.
