Kenny Chesney will take part in a special television show celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Academy of Country Music (ACM), which will be taped May 18, 2005, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, the day after the ACM Awards at the same venue.

Tickets for the show, which will air on CBS sometime in December this year, will go on sale Saturday April 16, via Ticketmaster and the Mandalay Bay box office. Will also take part in the planned two-hour show that will look back on the history of the ACM and the artists and industry figures who have played a role in its development, are Reba McEntire, Montgomery Gentry and George Strait.
