Gretchen Wilson wins the Country Music Television Music Awards in the breakthrough and female video categories

Gretchen Wilson won the Country Music Television Music Awards, held on April 9, 2005, in the breakthrough and female video categories. Brought home awards in the celebration also Keith Urban who won video of the year for his hit "Days Go By." Opened the show was Kenny Chesney, who at that time won best male video for "I Go Back," with his hit "Keg in the Closet"

Along with them were Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss who won collaborative video of the year for their duet "Whiskey Lullaby"; Rascal Flatts won best group/duo video for "Feels Like Today"; and Toby Keith won hottest video for "Whiskey Girl." Mentioned also to bring home their victory were Tim McGraw who won most inspiring video for "Live Like You Were Dying"; and actor/director Rick Schroder won best director for the "Whiskey Lullaby" video.

Several actors presented awards or appeared on the show, including Dennis Hopper, Jeff Daniels, Andie McDowell, Gina Gershon and Drea de Matteo. And performed too in the celebration was Tricia Yearwood performing her new single, "Georgia Rain."
