AceShowbiz - Wednesday February 16, 2005, rapper Kid Rock was put in jail by Nashville police on charges of punching, Jay Campos, a disc jockey at Nashville local strip club, Christie's Cabaret. A witness said the incident began when the star who at first spoke to someone in the audience demanded an apology from Campos whom he believed had insulted his friend.
Camposed refused to do so and Rock hit him in the face for two times and soon left the club before a few hours later police could finally caught him at an apartment where he'd been staying. Thus, Rock was then charged on simple assault, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail. After hearing the charges against him, Rock then made the $3,000 bail with arraignment set for March 30, 2005.
