Michael Douglas has reportedly signed to coproduce and star in Racing the Monsoon, the third sequel of Romancing the Stone.
This Steven Carr directed film is a comedy-adventure film revolves around a diamond robbery in India, which plot recalls Douglas' glory days playing Jack T. Colton. To support the success of this movie, Douglas and the filmmakers are reportedly eager to sign Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai for the female lead.
According to managing director of Percept Picture Company, Racing the Monsoon which production is due to start by the end of 2005, will be a Hollywood movie inspired by India that, of course, be shot in India with a mostly Indian cast.
