'Frasier' Star David Hyde Pierce Returns to TV on 'The Good Wife'

"Frasier" vet David Hyde Pierce has secured his first TV role, ten years after the hit sitcom wrapped up on NBC. The actor known for his portrayal of the psychiatrist Dr. Niles Crane lands a recurring role in upcoming season 6 of "The Good Wife".

CBS announced that Pierce would "play a highly respected cable news legal commentator who is so disgusted by the corruption and murder rate in Chicago that he decides to run for office in order to affect change." He will first appear in episode seven.

David Lynch Almost Directed Kanye West's 'Blood on the Leaves' Music Video

David Lynch almost worked with Kanye West for the music video of "Blood on the Leaves". The "Eraserhead" filmmaker revealed in a new interview with the Daily Beast that he agreed to direct the "Yeezus" track which he said was his "favorite song."

The video, however, never came to fruition. Lynch said he gave up on it because he was unable to "come up with ideas" that he thought would please West. "We almost worked together, I was going to do the music video for 'Blood on the Leaves', but it never happened," he said.

'Sleepy Hollow' Season 2 Promo Features New Characters

Gearing up for its second season, "Sleepy Hollow" teases fans with a new promo that features some new characters. Introduced in the video that includes commentaries from the cast and executive producers are Sakina Jaffrey's Sheriff Reyes, Timothy Busfield's Benjamin Franklin, and Matt Barr's Nick Hawley.

Sheriff Reyes replaces Frank Irving who is now in jail. Star Nicole Beharie describes her as a "hard-nosed, takes-no-prisoners, get-in-line kind of woman." Benjamin Franklin will appear in flashbacks as the show is expanding "this history between Ichabod and George Washington that talked about this secret war that was part of the American Revolution" which was first addressed in season 1.

Miley Cyrus' VMA Date Turns Himself in to Police

Jesse Helt, a young homeless man who accepted Miley Cyrus' award at 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, reportedly turned himself in to the Polk County jail on Thursday night, August 28. Sheriff Bob Wolfe said Jesse turned himself in on an outstanding warrant for probation violation.

Jesse was originally booked around 8:30 P.M. Corrections Director Martin Silbernagel said the 22-year-old man was allowed to post 10 percent from his $25,000 bail. "He came into the jail with that on him," Martin said. He added Jesse was ordered to appear before a judge in about two weeks.

Carriere, Miyazaki and O'Hara will be feted with the Academy Honorary Awards at the 6th Annual Governors Awards on November 8 at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center. Belafonte will be handed the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the same event.

A Taiwanese actor named Kai Ko who was arrested for drug possession alongside Jackie Chan's son Jaycee Chan is released from custody after 14 days. Ko was released on Friday morning, August 29 local time. The police escorted the actor and his family to a five-star hotel as dozens of photographers were waiting outside the detention center, South China Morning Post reports.

The 23-year-old actor, who is also known as Chen-Tung Ko, later was caught on camera seemingly trying to start a fight with a photographer at the hotel's parking lot. Ko's agent, however, told news outlet Tencent in a phone interview that it was not true, adding that he was actually trying to keep his father and the photographer from fighting. Ko and his family will hold a press conference in the afternoon regarding his run-in with the law.

McDonald who goes by the stage name Joel Mac claims the trio's "Made in America", from Jay-Z and West's 2011 collaborative album "Watch the Throne", is a rip-off of his 2009 song of the same title. He is now seeking $3 million in damages.

The possible new characters are not all named since "some have changed in between drafts ... but one character who has always been in this new team is Captain Marvel." The heroine also known as Ms. Marvel was originally set to make a cameo in "The Avengers" sequel.

Ann Biderman has left "Ray Donovan". The writer who created the Showtime series has stepped down as showrunner of the Liev Schreiber-starring drama, but she will stay on the show as a creative consultant. Sources say her departure was due to hefty financial overruns on the series.

Showtime President David Nevins says in a statement, "Ann Biderman is a uniquely gifted writer and creator. She has done great work on 'Ray Donovan' from her very first pitch through the first two amazing seasons. Singer Ray J has coped a plea deal with the prosecutors in connection to his battery and assault case. As reported by CNN, a prosecutor said on Thursday, August 28 that the R&B singer pleaded no contest to misdemeanor trespassing. Sean Kingston is being sued by a New York jeweler for not paying for some jewelry that he ordered, TMZ reports. In a lawsuit filed by Avi Da Jeweler, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter is said to have never paid $200,000 worth of jewelry he ordered from 2008 to 2013.

Avi claims he sold Sean watches and chains, two of which feature his initials, a diamond "Jesus piece," a belly button chain, a cubic zirconia necklace and bracelet. The jeweler also says a $12,000 ring he loaned to the "Beat It" singer for his appearance on "106 & Park" was never returned until now.

Bruce Springsteen to Release Picture Book 'Outlaw Pete'

Bruce Springsteen is releasing a book. Publisher Simon & Schuster announced on Thursday, August 28 that a picture book titled "Outlaw Pete" by the veteran singer and Frank Caruso would hit the stores on November 4. In addition to the hard copy, the book which centers on the story of a baby who robs banks in the West will be available in E-book format.

"Outlaw Pete is essentially the story of a man trying to outlive and outrun his sins," Springsteen said in a press release. It is inspired by his 2009 song of the same name which is featured in "Working on a Dream" album. Both song and the book are inspired by "Brave Cowboy Bill", a 1950s children's book which his mother read when he was a child.

'Star Wars Episode VII' Production Resumes in Full Force

The production of "Star Wars Episode VII" goes back in motion as lead star Harrison Ford is deemed fit enough to resume filming. The shooting was briefly halted in June when Ford broke his ankle while shooting a scene involving a hydraulic door of Han Solo's ship Millennium Falcon.

Disney Studios said at that time that shooting would continue as planned while Ford recuperates for at least two months. Nick Gordon had a scary car accident on Thursday, August 28. According to a scoop from TMZ, the husband of Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown didn't suffer serious injury, but he was arrested by police due to the crash.

It seemed Gordon had a single accident. Law enforcement sources in Roswell, GA said he lost control of his BMW, hit a curb, crashed into a fire hydrant, and flipped his car upside down. The car reportedly came to a stop after sliding around 200 feet.

Shakira Pregnant With Baby No. 2

Shakira is adding another baby to her growing family with her longtime boyfriend, soccer player Gerard Pique. She announces that she's expecting a second child on the Spanish version of Cosmopolitan magazine, and then confirms it on her social media.

"Well, yes, the truth is that, yes, I am pregnant," the Colombian singer said on the mag's latest issue, where she graces the cover. The 37-year-old star then tweeted, "Yes, we are expecting our second baby!! Thank you for all your well wishes!"
