Comic-Con: Promos for 'Arrow' Season 3 and 'The Flash'

The CW debuts a new promo each for returning series "Arrow" and newbie "The Flash" at the San Diego Comic-Con. The former which is led by Stephen Amell will premiere the third season on October 8, while the latter which stars Grant Gustin will debut on the network a day prior.

"Arrow" promo includes views of Colton Haynes in the Arsenal costume, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, and Karl Yune as Maseo. Meanwhile, the sneak peek for "The Flash" teases the effects of Barry Allen's superhuman speed.

Susan Sarandon talked about past fling in a new interview with the Daily Beast. The 67-year-old Oscar winner opened up that she once slept with David Bowie after they met on the set of 1983's film "The Hunger". She said, "Yeah. He's worth idolizing. He's extraordinary. That was a really interesting period."

"I wasn't supposed to have kids, and I'm the oldest of nine and had mothered all of them, so I wasn't ever in a mode to where I was looking to settle down and raise a family, so that definitely changes the gene pool you're dipping into," she said. "But Bowie's just a really interesting person, and so bright. He's a talent, and a painter, and… he's great."

Jenny McCarthy revealed that she almost got in trouble because her 12-year-old son, Evan, called police when she was texting while driving. Jenny also shared another story about her son who almost got her into legal trouble.

Jenny said of her "rule follower" son on her new Sirius XM radio show, "We're driving in the car and of course I text and drive. He called the police on me and said, 'My mom is texting and driving right now.' True story." The 41-year-old TV host added that she grabbed her son's phone and threw it out of the car to avoid a possible police involvement.

The first trailer for Kevin Smith's horror flick "Tusk" makes its way online. Justin Long plays podcaster Wallace Bryton who meets a mysterious seafarer who turns out to be a mad man. He is held hostage and doctored into an animal, Walrus.

When Bryton goes missing in the backwoods of Manitoba while interviewing the reclusive old man, his best friend and girlfriend team up with an ex-cop to look for him. Michael Parks, Genesis Rodriguez, and Haley Joel Osment are among the cast members.

Video Premiere: Asher Roth's 'Parties at the Disco' Feat. ZZ Ward

Asher Roth has debuted the music video for his track "Parties at the Disco". Hitting the web on Friday, July 25, the visuals was shot entirely on 8 mm film by director by Kenny Koller in some places like Santa Monica Beach and Pier, Joshua Tree, Death Valley and Sequoia National Parks. Both Roth and his collaborator ZZ Ward appear in the clip, which also features plenty of nature shots.

"Parties at the Disco" is a cut off Roth's newest album "RetroHash". In the nostalgic track, Roth and Ward celebrate the simpler times in life. "Got a chill, sit down, remember how to be a child/ Wide eyes with a smile," Roth raps. "Styles of nostalgic/ Lisp and a cowlick/ Jumped to the moon/ With a spoon and a spatula/ Trapped in the past/ Thinking how do we get back to it/ Got that funny, funny feeling at last."

Daniel Radcliffe Stopped From Entering U.S. due to Visa Problems

Daniel Radcliffe was denied entry to the U.S. on Thursday, July 24, due to visa problems. The British actor was stopped by American border guards while returning to the U.S. for Comic-Con after attending a premiere of his new movie "What If" in Toronto, Canada.

"He's stuck in Toronto with visa problems," a source told Page Six. Radcliffe was in the process of upgrading his current P-2 visa to an O-1 visa. P-2 visa is designed for foreign actors as well as entertainers and gives the performers residency right for the time they're working on a project but cannot exceed a year. O-1 visa is for someone "who possesses extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business and athletics" and allows the holders to stay for three years in the States.

Comic-Con: Ichabod Summons Demon in 'Sleepy Hollow' Clip From Season 2

New footage from "Sleepy Hollow" season 2 was unleashed at the San Diego Comic-Con. One of the clips which is obtained by Entertainment Weekly features Ichabod and Abbie using a skull and some incantations to summon a new powerful demon to fight the horseman.

The other video which has landed online via The Hollywood Reporter shows the comedic side of the show. In it, Ichabod and Abbie stop by a bank as they investigate a case. When a banker offers him a deal on a credit card, Ichabod scolds him, "These people entrust you with their fortune, yet you cannot entrust them with a simple inkwell?" referring to a pen attached to a desk.

First Look at The Thing From 'Fantastic Four' Reboot Leaks

What appears to be the first look at The Thing from Josh Trank's "The Fantastic Four" is revealed. Courtesy of Justified Films, the picture of Ben Grimm's rock-like transformed body is taken from a green-screen room where the superhero reboot seems to be filmed.

The film is due on June 19, 2015 in the U.S. Miles Teller is cast as Reed Richards or the rubber man, Jamie Bell as The Thing, Kate Mara as Susan Storm or Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Sue's brother Johnny Storm or Human Torch, and Toby Kebbell as the villainous Doctor Doom.

'Argo' Scribe Chris Terrio Courted to Write 'Justice League' Movie

Chris Terrio is eyed to pen "Justice League" movie. He was tapped to polish the script for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" initially written by David S. Goyer, and The Hollywood Reporter learns that "one of Terrio's tasks with the 'Batman v Superman' rewrite was to set up the Justice League spin-off."

The "Man of Steel" sequel is planned for May 6, 2016, leading to a standoff with Marvel's "Captain America 3". Henry Cavill and Amy Adams are back as Clark Kent and Lois Lane respectively. Ben Affleck is tapped as the Caped Crusader, and Gal Gadot is confirmed to play Wonder Woman.

Tulisa Found Guilty of V Festival Assault

Tulisa plans to appeal after she was found guilty of assaulting a celebrity blogger at V Festival last year. The former judge on "The X Factor" then was ordered to pay 3,000 pound sterling which included 200 pound sterling of fine, 100 pound sterling compensation, 20 pound sterling victim surcharge and 2,700 pound sterling prosecution cost.

"I am quite sure to the requisite standard of proof, based on my analysis of the evidence that I have heard, that Ms Contostavlos did strike Mr Morgan in the face during an argument and that that blow caused minor bruising and swelling," District Judge Angus Hamilton said. Tulisa's assistant Gareth Varey was cleared of threatening behavior during a court meeting on Friday, July 25.

James Gunn Confirmed to Write and Direct 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Sequel

James Gunn who co-wrote and directed the first "Guardians of the Galaxy" returns to his post behind the lens for the sequel. Nicole Perlman who drafted the initial script for the first film confirmed to The Wrap that Gunn would pen the screenplay and helm "Guardians of the Galaxy 2".

"They started to figure it out pretty quick when they started getting the reactions from the audience; it was a very positive reaction," she said. "Of course they would want to make a sequel as long as it does well and people are excited about it, they'll wanna do a sequel. So, it's going to happen."

Director Bryan Singer Dismissed From Sex Abuse Lawsuit by British Actor

Bryan Singer has been dismissed from a federal sex abuse case filed by an anonymous British actor which was referred to as "John Doe 117". Martin Singer, Bryan's lawyer, told The Hollywood Reporter, "We are pleased the case was dismissed."

However, Gary Goddard, who was also accused of the same case along with the "X-Men: First Class" director, has not been dismissed from the lawsuit. Meanwhile, the plaintiff's attorney has not made any comments about the dismissal of Bryan's lawsuit yet.

Man Arrested for Leaving Creepy Letters at Rihanna's Home

A homeless man has been arrested for sending creepy letters to Rihanna's home. According to NY Daily News, a 53-year-old man named Kevin McGlynn was arrested on Thursday at 6 P.M. after he was caught on camera leaving threatening notes at the singer's SoHo apartment three times.

He went to Rihanna's pad on July 8 at 6:30 A.M. and around midnight and on July 11 at noon. According to his criminal complaints, McGlynn allegedly "repeatedly called her a b***h" and threatened to "bum [rush] in her apartment." Following the incident, the "Diamonds" singer "fear for her physical safety."

"The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?" trailer has been released in an effort to raise its finishing funds. The documentary directed by Jon Schnepp revolves around the doomed Superman project that went through many complicated process and did not make it to the theaters at the end.

Back in 1996, Kevin Smith generated big ideas for a Superman movie that would eventually be known as "Superman Lives". Unfortunately, despite having such big names as Tim Burton in the director seat, Lorenzo di Bonaventura in production department, and Nicolas Cage as the titular character, the movie never saw the light.

It was a shocking revelation since Wright had been vocal about his passion of the superhero and had been developing it for around eight years. Peyton Reed was later brought on board to direct. The draft that Wright co-wrote with Joe Cornish has also been reworked.

Author Bel Kaufman Dies at 103

Bel Kaufman, a former school teacher who is popular for writing "Up the Down Staircase", has passed away. Her daughter Thea Goldstine confirmed the sad news to New York Times, saying that her mother died at her home in Manhattan on Friday, July 25. She was 103.

Kaufman was born in Germany on May 10, 1911 and she moved to N.Y. at the age of 12. She went to Hunter College and later received master's degree in English from Columbia University.

Comic-Con: 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Reveals New Characters in Season 2

Marvel Television brought "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Marvel's Agent Carter" to the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 25. The producers took the chance to introduce four new characters on "S.H.I.E.L.D." season 2, one of which is revealed in a teaser video featuring Patton Oswalt's Eric & Billy Koenig.

In the clip, the Koenig brothers hint at the arrival of Barbara Morse a.k.a. Mockingbird, who has made a call to let Director Coulson know that "she's in" if he needs her. It's yet to be known who will play the sexy S.H.I.E.L.D. field agent.

Turns out Rick and the gang will not get stuck around Terminus for long. AMC has released the full trailer of "The Walking Dead" season 5 at the show's San Diego Comic Con panel where much about the highly-anticipated season was discussed.

Producer Scott Gimple introduced the trailer that opened with the last scene of season 4 where Rick said the people of Terminus mess with the wrong people. After a showdown, the leader of Terminus explains the deal that may save Rick and the others' lives. The gang is heading to Washington DC to find the cure with one of the Termite on board. Viewers also get a sight of Beth who had been separated from the gang towards the end of last season.

Jean Kasem, the widow of the late radio icon Casey Kasem, reportedly has been dropped by her legal team. According to TMZ, lawyers at Haney & Young have asked the court to relieve them from their duties as her legal counsels.

The report further suggests that the firm and Jean went separate ways because she was difficult to work with. She reportedly refuses to communicate by phone and rarely check her e-mails. In addition to the said actions, Jean reportedly owes them $500,000. According to the report, if she doesn't pay up, the money will come from Casey's estate.

Comic-Con: 'Game of Thrones' Announces New Cast Members for Season 5

"Game of Thrones" introduced the new faces in season 5 when taking over Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center during Comic-Con International on Friday, July 25. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weis unveiled a video where new cast members such as Jonathan Pryce and Alexander Siddig reveal their roles and share their excitement to be part of the show.

Pryce will play the High Sparrow, a powerful religious leader in King's Landing. Siddig is cast as Doran Martell, the older brother of the late Prince Oberyn Martell. The casting news also includes a recasting of Myrcella Baratheon, Cersei's daughter, who was previously portrayed by Aimee Richardson.

Joaquin Phoenix is the latest name thrown in the bag of Doctor Strange casting. The Oscar-nominated actor is reportedly in talks to be the titular character in Marvel's "Dr. Strange". The character had been briefly mentioned in "Thor" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier".

Nothing is set in stone yet, but The Wrap reported that Phoenix is strongly considering the role and has had discussions about the movie. The role was previously linked to such actors as Benedict Cumberbatch, Jared Leto and Tom Hardy, but none of them came to fruition.

Sam Raimi dropped by the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 25 to deliver two good news. The "Spider-Man" director announced that he was working on an "Evil Dead" TV series and a movie based on Sony Playstation video game "The Last of Us".

Raimi said he's resurrecting "Evil Dead" for television together with his brother Ivan Raimi. "I always love working on that series," he said. "My brother and I are writing the Evil Dead TV show right now. Weird, but true; With Bruce Campbell." Campbell was famous for portraying the hero Ash in the first three installments of the cult horror franchise but it's unclear to what capacity he'll be involved in the TV series.

"Private Practice" star Audra McDonald tried to kill herself once. The Tony-winning actress revealed the suicidal chapter in her life during an interview for "Popcorn with Peter Travers". "When I was [in college] at Julliard, I had a suicide attempt," she said. "I tried to slit my wrist."

"When someone is suicidal, one of the first things you have to do is to protect them from themselves," she added. "They had a mental health facilitator there, a therapist there, and they checked me into a mental health hospital where I was for a month and got me the help I needed."
