Taylor Swift has a new adorable pet. It's a small white cat named after the tough detective played by Mariska Hargitay on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit". The country/pop singer introduces her cute furry friend on Instagram with a brief caption, "Meet Olivia Benson."

Of her love for the procedural series, the songstress once said to Teen Vogue, "I sit in my apartment and watch hours of that show. So I sort of feel like me and Olivia are BFFs."

The "Hercules" star, who sports a simple green t-shirt on the front page, shares a story of his younger years where he hit rock bottom and dealt with depression in an interview with the magazine.

"I didn't want to do a thing," he says of his struggle with depression back then. I didn't want to go anywhere. I was crying constantly. Eventually you reach a point where you are all cried out." Johnson shares that his family was evicted from home when he was 14 and later he was forced to quit football because of injuries.

'Big Brother 16' Twists and New House Revealed

New rules will apply in the upcoming installment of "Big Brother". In what is dubbed the most "twisted" season ever, the show will name two Houseguests as the Head of Household (HOH) each week. Each HOH will have a chance to nominate two fellow Houseguests for eviction every week, but the HOHs will not be automatically safe for the week.

The second twist is called "Team America", which is a new interactive element that will allow viewers "to significantly influence the game from home." Additionally, this season's "Big Brother" will introduce a new competition, Battle of the Block, "which will dramatically shift the power in the house each week."

Sad news came from Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice's family. Joe's father Frank unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, June 18 at the age of 63. A spokesperson for the stars of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" told ABC News that Frank was found outside the couple's house. Frank and Joe were chasing a family dog when Joe suddenly fell ill.

According to Radar Online, Teresa was not at home during the passing. "Teresa arrived shortly after it happened," a source said. "He had just collapsed in the yard. They called 911 but there was basically nothing anyone could do when they got there. This was totally out of the blue."

Meryl Streep will once again portray a real-life character in her next project. The Academy Award-winning actress has been tapped to star as opera legend Maria Callas in HBO's TV movie, Page Six reports.

The film will be based on Terrence McNally's play "Master Class" that depicted the opera singer when she gave a series of master classes at the Juilliard School in New York from October 1971 to March 1972. The play debuted on Broadway in 1995 with Australian actress Zoe Caldwell as Callas and Audra McDonald in supporting role. Though the performers' voices were criticized for being worn out, the tour was an enormous popular success.

A new comic book that revolves around Django Freeman, the main character in Quentin Tarantino's 2012 Oscar-winning film, is in the works. The original script for "Django Unchained" was first adapted into graphic novel in 2013, and now the gun-totting hero is brought back into comic pages with a new adventure where he will cross path with the iconic masked swordsman Zorro.

The story is set to be co-plotted by Tarantino along with Matt Wagner who is known for creating acclaimed comic series like "Mage" and "Grendel". Reginald Hudlin, who scripted "Django Unchained" comic and produced the movie, will work closely with the writing duo as the editor for the upcoming graphic novel due later this year via Dynamite and DC Entertainment.

'Flowers for Algernon' Author Daniel Keyes Dies at 86

Literary world has lost one of its authors. Daniel Keyes, who is the author of 1966's novel "Flowers for Algernon", passed away on Sunday, June 15. As reported by The Washington Post, his daughter Leslie Keyes said that her father died from complications from pneumonia at his home in southern Florida. He was 86.

Keyes was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1927. His parents wanted him to be a doctor, but he was interested in being a writer. "Flowers for Algernon" originally was published as a short story in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction in 1959. It tells the story of a mentally disabled man named Charlie who becomes a candidate of an experimental surgery which allegedly increases a mouse named Algernon's intelligence.

One of the pioneers of rhythmic jazz style hard bop, Horace Silver, passed away on June 18 at age 85 in his house New Rochelle, N.Y. It was confirmed by his son, Gregory, that his father died of natural causes on Wednesday morning.

The jazz pianist, who was born on September 2, 1928, in Norwalk, began his career as a musician by working as a tenor saxophonist in clubs in his origin, Connecticut. In 1950s, he moved to New York and switched to piano, beginning to perform at Blue Note Jazz Club.

Sandra Bullock Home Intruder Hit With New Weapons Charges

A man who was arrested at Sandra Bullock's home earlier this month for an alleged break-in has faced new charges. According to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, the man named Joshua Corbett allegedly owns "an arsenal of weapons" including some machine guns at his home in Montrose, California.

Following the findings, the 30-year-old man now faces 19 felony counts, including seven counts of possession of a machine gun, two counts of possession of an assault weapon and 10 counts of possession of a destructive device. On Wednesday, June 18, his bail was set at $2.2 million. If convicted of the new charges, Corbett may spend up to 12 years in jail.

Universal has pushed back the release date of the untitled new Bourne movie by a year. The actioner directed by Justin Lin and starring Jeremy Renner is moved from its initial August 14, 2015 date to July 15, 2016.

Reports said that the move was prompted by the studio's attempt to make room for its N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton". The upcoming film about the rise and fall of the gangsta rap pioneers is now slated to be released on the vacant date.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are each free to remarry. The former couple are officially divorced ten years after they got married and three years after they split.

According to court documents, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge John Sandoz officially dissolved the singers' marital union on Monday, June 16. The split was actually finalized for all intents and purposes three months ago but their final judgment package was not entered into the system until now.

It's a Destiny's Child reunion in Michelle Williams (II)'s "Say Yes" music video. She shares screen with her former groupmates Kelly Rowland and Beyonce Knowles, bringing them together to sing the gospel song and dance to the upbeat track in this feel-good video.

"It's Destiny's Child time again," Queen Bey said. "This song is so inspiring and it's not enough music out there like this and I'm proud to be a part of it."
