Foo Fighters Plays a Surprise Show in New Orleans

Foo Fighters excited fans when they played a surprise show at Preservation Hall in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Saturday night, May 17. The show was announced by the rock band just hours before it's slated to begin.

Earlier in the day, frontman Dave Grohl teased the surprise concert with a photo of him posing with two members of the Preservation Hall Jazz. "So...NOLA, what're you guys up to tonight?" he captioned the image, which arrived via Twitter.

Mick Jagger is now a great-grandfather. According to Daily Mail, he becomes a great-grandfather after his 21-year-old granddaughter Assisi recently gave birth to a baby girl with her 25-year-old boyfriend Alex Key. More info about the baby is not immediately available.

"The women in our family just tend to have children young, it runs in the genes," Assisi told Hello magazine in November. "I grew up quite quickly and wouldn't have considered having a child if I was doing what my friends are doing at this stage, messing around. I don't drink, I don't smoke and I'm very settled."

5 Seconds of Summer has dropped the official music video for their current single "Don't Stop". Hitting Vevo on Sunday night, May 18, the three-and-a-half minute hilarious clip opens with the band's members transforming into superheroes after unexpectedly finding some costumes around their house.

The four boys, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin, then help an elder to cross the street and scold some guys who spray-paint the wall before they end up getting beaten up. They are later seen joining forces to save a girl who's being kidnapped in a warehouse.

The three remaining teams of "The Amazing Race" season 24 were finally back in the U.S. after traveling across three continents and through eight countries. Father and son Dave & Connor, country singers Caroline & Jen, as well as newlyweds Brendon & Rachel were vying for the winning title and the grand prize in the final leg.

The teams flew from London to Las Vegas. En route to MGM Grand, they had to find a box that contained 50 keys in the desert that they would need in the Roadblock. The Roadblock was a great escape challenge created by illusionist David Copperfield.

Singer/producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and his girlfriend Nicole Pantenburg have tied the knot. The couple exchanged vows on Saturday, May 17 in Southern California. The couple's nuptials was attended by some celebrity friends including Oprah Winfrey and singer/songwriter Carole Bayer Sager.

The artist took to Instagram to share some photos and a short clip from Babyface and Pantenburg's wedding ceremony. In photos posted by Sager, the groom can be seen wearing a white suit and black pants while the bride sported white wedding dress. The couple's daughter Peyton Nicole also made appearance in a photo.

Director on Plan to Make Movie About Missing Malaysian Plane: We're Not Cashing In on the Flight

While many have deemed it's insensitive to make a movie about missing Malaysian plane which has not been found, director Rupesh Paul refuses to back away from his plan. The Indian filmmaker has defended his decision to depict the tragedy in a big-screen project titled "The Vanishing Act", which has sparked controversy since it's pitched at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Claiming that "no one has complained yet," he says the film "will not affect any passengers' families." He insists that his movie will be a standalone thriller despite including references to the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, telling The Hollywood Reporter, "It will not be based on stupid things. There will not be a [gun] and there will not be any aliens."

The performance opened with Jackson sitting in a throne and singing the first lines of the song. He then walked to the stage and showed off some of his iconic dance moves with a number of backing dancers. Some people in the audience were seen wiping the tears from their face as the performance continued.

The success of "Godzilla" in the box office prompted Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. to launch a second movie. The news that a sequel is already underway has been confirmed to a couple of news outlets including Deadline.

The movie directed by Gareth Edwards opened with an estimated $93.2 million in the U.S. box office and $103 million internationally. It became the second biggest opening weekend of 2014 behind the $95 million opening of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier".

According to a statement to media, which is delivered via a Los Angeles lawyer Harold Levy, Vale passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Sunday, May 18 at his home in Palm Desert, California, at 9:45 A.M. Vale had a stroke a few years ago and his health had been declining since then.

Vale was born Genaro Louis Vitaliano in New York on July 8, 1930. He started singing when he was a teenager and released more than 50 albums during his singing career. The romantic pop singer was popular for his renditions of "Volare", ''Innamorata" and "Al Di La" among others.

'Godzilla' Has Monster Opening on Domestic Box Office With $93 Million

Legendary Entertainment earned its second number one movie at the box office this year through "Godzilla". The refurbished version of 1950s Japanese Kaiju classic opened at number one in domestic theaters this weekend with $93.2 million, surpassing its $70 million expectation.

Statistically, the Gareth Edwards-directed film scored some accolades on the box office. It currently has the second biggest opening weekend of 2014 behind the $95 million opening of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and ahead of the $91 million debut of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". It is also the sixth biggest debut weekend for a non-sequel. Internationally, "Godzilla" has the biggest opening of the year with $103 million.
